On A Study Of The Protection And Renewal Of Historic Blocks Based On The Cultural Veins' Continuation

Recently,China is in the rapidly developing process of urban construction. With economy stretches,urbanization is greatly increased. Nowadays, with the increasingly tense land resources, old towns' reconstruction and renewal is a key to urban construction and development and it is expanding at an unprecedented scale and speed. But it also appears many problems on urban developing,such as the confusion of urban renewal model and the lacking in urban cultural veins and urban fabric. Especially the historic streets in the old towns have carried out the promotion of reconstruction and an entirely different reformation extensively in order to improve the municipal,transportation and living condition in the process of block renewal and development. For a time, many old neighborhoods are replaced by new buildings and commercial development, which results in many urban areas of cultural heritage carrier- the disappearance of the historic blocks.Historic blocks specifically appear as urban areas are of great significance in building urban feature and vitality which reflected in the aspects of architectural history,cultural style and feature and regional characteristic. Meanwhile, it also plays an immeasurably important role in urban cultural veins' continuation and inheritance. It is a thorny problem in the process of urbanization that how to protect historic blocks while keeping its sustainable development combined with regional culture. Associated with urban regional veins and based on the economic,social, historic and cultural analysis,the thesis has provided theories and guidance on ways to preserve and renovate historic blocks.The full thesis is divided into five chapters,five main parts.In the first part(Chapter One),the research background on the subject is analyzed, thereby determining study object in this context; through stating the research purpose,significance and the use of methods and research status, the author put forward the framework and research ideas.In the second part(Chapter Two),related concepts on cultural veins and historical blocks are given and the formation and development of domestic urban district conservation and renewal theory are in-depth understood. The author analyzes the factors of the various types of historical neighborhoods decline in the urbanization development and changes and then sums up experience, gives his own personal understanding regarding this status.In the third part(Chapter Three),through the analysis to the domestic and foreign historical block development present situation,the author puts forward the historical block protection principles and objectives,explores the practice model of the process of urban historic district conservation and renewal, based on the analysis of the historical block protection and the renewal of representative cases,summarizes the latest exploration on the protection and renewal of the blocks.In the fourth part(Chapter Four),according to the reality of our country,combined with Zhejiang Hengdian Wansheng street reconstruction project,through the analysis and research on the actual design case, seeking a balance of cultural veins and the historical block protection and renovation, and thus put forward constructive suggestions.In the fifth part(Chapter Five), according to the study of the first four parts, the author sums up the principles and key points in the protection and renewal of historical blocks suitable to cultural veins' continuation and the implementation methods of the historical street development.
