China is rich in water resources,development and utilization potential.Hydropower resources has been one of the State to encourage the development and utilization of resources.Turbine is a core component of the station,where Francis turbine is most widely used.In recent years,the use of CFD technology research and solve practical engineering flow problems increasingly sophisticated methods,based on CFD numerical simulation study has become an important tool for Hydraulic Performance.Therefore,the study calculated a Francis turbine inner flow field based on CFD has important significance.With the rapid development of CFD theory and computer technology,some commercial CFD software has been successfully applied to the turbine flow characteristics within the analysis.This paper reviews the research progress of numerical simulation on internal flow turbine,and then use the Fluent software,the actual power station against a whole Francis turbine runner,carried out in three typical operating conditions and performance of three-dimensional turbulent numerical analysis.The main work and achievements are as follows:1.The use of pre-processor Gambit Fluent software,the actual parameters of hydraulic turbine flow passage components and geometry,to establish the imports from the volute tail pipe outlet flow channel full three-dimensional geometric model.2.Grid and its production process overview,with Gambit software to calculate the domain mesh.3.Introduces the basic theory and numerical simulation calculation method based on CFD technology turbine inner flow field.And using Fluent software,using standard turbulence model for the turbine,with the second order upwind discretization of equations,the flow field calculated using SIMPLE algorithm,the hydraulic turbine runner in three typical operating conditions were carried out three-dimensional turbulent numerical calculations.4.Using the TECPLOT software for post-processing numerical results were generated for each flow components distribution,flow charts and other conditions in the three pressure turbine internal flow pattern whereby the study,and to analyze the performance of the turbine.
