As is known to all,the gear box is an indispensable power transmission component in the modern mechanical equipment.It occupies the important position in the industrial and manufacturing.It's not an exaggeration to say that its design standard and manufacturing technology to some extent is a reflection of the country's comprehensive national strength and the market competiveness.Therefore,the research on gear box,including the optimization and improvement of the structure,the status real-time monitoring,fault diagnosis and prevention and so on,is greatly significant.In this paper,analysis and research of the gear box are completed by combining the finite element analysis with the modal analysis technology.The factors which affect the structure of the modal parameters are explored,and in the meantime the modal frequency of the gear box structure is calculated with the modal identification technology.The finite element analysis method is used in the analysis of a single gear structure.At first,the model of gear is established,which can be assisted by 3d software modeling or established directly in ANSYS.After the completion of the implementation of bending stress and contact stress analysis of the gear,the free modal analysis of the gear under different structure is explored,the first five order modal vibration mode is discussed and the modal characteristics of the order are found.For a static analysis,it achieves the strength check of the tooth root,and then the advantages and disadvantages of traditional method and the finite element method are compared.For the modal analysis,the influence of the change of the structure of the gear model on the modal frequency of the gear model is put forward,and in themeanwhile the key factor among them is found.According to the modal analysis of gear box,the test mode is adopted.The vibration test system with the force hammer sensor and the signal acquisition box is constructed.Analysis and research of box are completed by using the hammer method to calculate the modal parameters.This approach is restricted to a certain extent,and it also has the certain one-sidedness.So the method of continuous acquisition is adopted to calculate the modal parameters of the gear box by two methods,and the results are compared.This study is based on the box under normal gear condition.In order to simulate the fault in the actual process,the normal gear is replaced by the faulty one.The time-domain vibration signal of each measuring point is collected,and the experimental modal analysis of the box is realized.And then use the EFDD or FDD method to identify the modal parameters.After the completion of the requirements,the parameters are compared with the parameters under normal condition to find out their own characteristics and differences.Finally,the results of the modal analysis and the realization of the fault diagnosis based on modal analysis are finished.
