As a negative by-product of intensifying industrial modernization, urban traffic congestion, energy crisis caused by exacerbating automobiles and greenhouse effect brought by vehicle emissions has become the widespread issues at present. The consensus amongst worldwide countries facing today are to treasure the limited oil resource, to protect the irreplaceable natural environment and to curb the global warming trend. On the basis of the statistical data from United Nations, the vehicle fuel consumption has accounted for 75 percentage of the total oil consumption, accompanied with the huge environmental pollution to the earth. To solve these two escalating problems, automotive industry consequentially move toward the environmental friendly, clean and energy saving direction, such as the manufacture of fuel cell vehicle and electric vehicle.The rapid development of new energy automotive industry drives the fundamental construction of accessorial charging facilities. The design of intelligent electric vehicle charging facility, for the purpose of increasing demands and public convenience, has become an irreversible trend. Combined with perspective of design basis and psychological requirement of users, it researches and analyses the intelligent design of product in this article. On the basis of the intelligent design, it proposes to combine the monotonous traditional mode of electric vehicle charging with ‘green design', ‘emotional design' and ‘experience design', and thereby redesigns and reflects on the design of final product.In this thesis, it studies as the following sections.1. The present research situation and development trend at home and abroad are analyzed, and it also states the research content, objectives and key issues to be solved.2. Thoroughly studied on the origin, development and concept of electric vehicle design, it dissertates the method and application of product design in detail and provides a good theoretical basis for the further studies.3. Based on studies and analysis of intelligent design and analysis of concept and theory, it states the relationship of intelligent design with aesthetic, humanization and automation.4. The electric car charging infrastructure for research to our country.It analyzes and studies the present situation of charging facilities and also analyzes the development trend of charging facilities.5.Through analyzing intelligent design points, and puts forward corresponding design proposal, and induce the information of intelligent design, integration, localization of target design was put forward6. Sketches, designs and dimensional drawings are proposed for the practical design, and then evaluation of the design is performed.
