Because of the outstanding features just as digital information,compact structure,and integrated function, intelligent substation applied in power system more and more.However, in the process of the convention from traditional substation to intelligent substation, we need to focus on the design and configuration about the secondary device.Specific to the design of the intelligent substation's secondary system, because the application of electronic transformers has been quite common, so the correct type of the transformers can must be selected in the practical application.so it is necessary to choose the most suitable type transformers on the basis of actual applications; the network is the core of the intelligent substation, its responsibilities include collection,transmission, sharing, protection and so on, so the actual selection of best network structure is waiting to be solved.On the basis of relevant information, the study chosed to use the efficient and objective method in the practical applications – AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) to consider the qualitative and quantitative factors of the necessaries of intelligent substation, finally,getting the the best decisions through a series of analysis, it is possible to provide advice in specific scenarios about selectting the type of transformer and the best automation system networking.Meanwhile, in order to achieve intelligent substation information digitization, compact and functional, the system according to the rules on information-sharing and function assignment of IEC 61850, secondary equipment has been reasonable compressed, optimized and integrated between devices with similar functions, which can not only reduce the number of devices, while reducing operation and maintenance costs.By learning from a variety of specific examples, the study get a deeper understanding about the secondary system of the intelligent substation. Meanwhile according to the specific conditions of Xingtai intelligent 220 k V substation automation systems,the study find the best solution program to selecting the network structure, the type of transformer, as well as the integration of the secondary system functions. The program can be adapt to the development of substation systems' s status,and also will play an important role to improving the Automatic level of power systems, to improving the reliability and economy of Intelligent Substation.
