Electric power industry is one of the most important industries for national economy development and is closely related to our daily life.With the rapid development of China's economy in recent years,prominent issues are becoming more and more serious,such as resource shortage,climate change,environmental pollution and so on.Therefore,it is important to build a green smart grid.At present,customers have a higher demand for power supply reliability and stability.Building reliable,flexible smart substations is one of the key techniques to solve these problems.According to the current situation and long-term planning of Ordos power grid,this paper theoretically compares and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of traditional conventional substations and new-generation smart substations.Further,the necessity and feasibility of constructing the Xinmiao 110 kV smart substation is analyzed.This smart substation uses the most advanced and integrated intelligence equipments.The secondary equipments are prefabricated cabin-installed.And prefabricated electric and optical cables are ultilzed within the whole substation.Integrated intelligent equipments are used in the process layer,and primary intelligent devices in the station are selected and optimized;the integrated automatic system structure,secondary equipment networking,prefabricated equipments,and intelligent auxiliary control system are selected and designed.Finally,the detailed construction plan of the Xinmiao 110 kV smart substation is proposed.
