Distribution network as an important part of the power grid for the people, the economic, safe and reliable operation of the social production and the stability of the people living in an orderly way, it also has a vital role in the overall operation of the power system. While, distribution network reconfiguration is an important part of the economic, safe and reliable operation. In recent years, our country has appeared the serious environmental problem and the energy question of resource shortage. However,the distributed generations which can make full use of energy efficient power supply system get more attention in this situation. After the distributed generations connected into distribution network, the single power supply situation and the power flow in the system has changed, these take the higher requirements for distribution network reconfiguration.In this paper, the research status and solving algorithms of the traditional radial distribution network reconfiguration are focused on. According to the common distributed generator in these period, the mathematic model of the distributed generators have been proposed. In addition, the improved forward backward sweep power flow method has been proposed, it modified the new type of nodes caused by distributed generators, and finally the process of this method is given.Moreover, this paper presents a mathematical model of distribution network reconfiguration based on the minimum active power loss of distribution network. And for the most important, an improved algorithm based on the traditional fireworks explosion algorithm is proposed to solve this reconfiguration model. The break loop searching method and the limit equation of explosion counter have been modified. These modifications ensure the global convergence of the algorithm and reduce the number of infeasible solutions in solution space. Therefore, this modified improves the search speed.Finally, the IEEE 33 nodes test system is used to simulate the proposed algorithm,which is suitable for the optimization of distribution network reconfiguration considering the distribution network reconfiguration. And discussed the influence of reconfiguration caused by the different capacities and different locations of distributed generators in the distribution network.
