The structure of cold air distribution system induction scaling duct has great influence on its performance. In this paper, induction scaling duct and balanced flow mixing section are studied for optimization in order to improve thermal comfort and reduce noise in air-conditioning room.First, the induction jet theory of cold air distribution is introduced in this paper.Numerical simulation for internal flow field in induction duct is done through CFD software. After simulation, the best position for suction port in induction duct can be obtained.Simulation for noise and structure optimization is conducted in related induction duct, after which optimized structure can be available. Then, analysis for the structure of balanced flow mixing section in induction duct is made.Numerical simulation for several structures of mixing section is done.Considering several factors, such as pressure loss and temperature uniformity, comparison about balanced flow mixing effects is carried out. After comparison,it is found that structure of scaling balanced flow mixing section is the best structure for mixing low temperature primary air and indoor air. Finally, induction duct and balanced flow mixing section which are optimized are placed in air-conditioning room.Numerical simulation for that room is made in order to get nephograms of related factors, such as air speed, temperature,PMV,PPD in that room. Results show that thermal comfort requirements are well met and effect of noise reduction is satisfying in that room by using induction duct and balanced flow mixing section which are optimized.
