With the development of railway business, the demand of schedule adherence for trains is considered much more seriously by passengers. Schedule adherence is an important standard for measuring the service level of railway business. Thus, it is extremely important to ensure the schedule adherence for railway transportation. However, railway system itself is very complex and it always lies in the communication with outside. In this case, the trains can be delayed by the disturbances outside. For some serious conditions, the rear trains may suffer the same problem. Actually, practice shows that it is very effective to reduce the delayed trains when adding some redundancy time in operation plan. Based on recent research in delayed distribution, this thsis from increase probability of train to complete the operation plan, reduce the line expectations later and reduce the line deviating from the expected value three aspects. Then, optimization and adjustment of the redundancy time in the existing operating diagram respectively. The main works are as follows:Firstly, the research of background and significance for the optimal allocation method to redundancy time in the run diagram were illustrated. In addition, the delay transmission, operation adjustment, and the present situation of redundancy time setting are concluded during the trains' operation processes in and abroad.Secondly, the basic concepts of essential factors, components and classification method of the run diagram were introduced as well as the classification of disturbances and the phenomenon of delay transmission. Analyse the classification of redundant time in the train running diagram as well as its “absorption” to the disturbances. Taking the trains' deviating from the original run diagram into consideration, analyze the trains' operation characteristics, adjustment rules and the process of the adjust plan. On this basis, analyze the train's operation adjustment model and gain the adjustment essence to make the train recover when the train is deviating the operation plan. The lingo software will be introduced and its effectiveness will be proved in solving the train's operation adjustment.Finally, this thesis respectively establishes the adjustment model of the goal of maximizing the probability of the train running plan, the adjustment model of the goal of minimizing the total late expectations and the adjustment model of the goal of minimizing the total deviation from the expected value of the train.which based on the studying of the existing delay time and the satisfaction of all the constraint conditions of the train working diagram. Design a simulation environment, for the delay situation which satisfies the negative exponential distribution, through the method mentioned above gain a new operation time table. The results show that, for the first model, the ability of finishing the whole project for the trains was increased; for the second model, the total delay expectation of the whole line was significantly decreased; for the third model, effectively reduce the deviation from the expected value of the train running on the map. The three methods above offer a new idea of optimizing and adjusting the railway train working diagram.
