Airborne Fire Control Radar has significant applications in military, national defense areas, since it has possessed a more and more important position among the world wide competition of national force. In the recent 50 years, airborne fire control radar has had a fast development, active phased radar becoming its developing direction with the merits of great detection capacity and multifunction. This paper focuses on the modeling and simulation of the active phased airborne fire control radar system.The author firstly introduces the overall design scheme of airborne fire control radar system simulation, and then gives the concrete simulation procedure and the composition of each of the model in the simulation in details. The paper builds a whole model library of airborne fire control radar system, which includes the model of resource schedule, transmitter, receiver, signal processor and data processor. Resource schedule is made up of beam position arrangement, real-time task scheduling, time allocation and resource management. The receiver is composed of receiver noise, automatic gain control(AGC), linear amplifier, logarithmic amplifier, and digital down conversion. signal processor is comprised of sidelobe canceller, sidelobe blanking, pulse compression, moving target indication(MTI), moving target detection(MTD), constant false-alarm rate detection(CFAR), measurement and ambiguity resolution. Data processor consists of data preprocessing, data association and target tracking. In the end, simulation testing analyses are made with typical instances for the radar system built based on the model library, which verifies the validity and effectiveness of the airborne fire control radar system established in the paper.The hierarchical simulation system of airborne fire control radar presented in this paper has the characteristics of high cohesion, low coupling, hot plug and so on, which is convenient to transplant and modify. It will be a meaningful reference for airborne fire control radar in engineering domain.
