Smart Home is an embodiment under the influence of the Internet of Things. As a typical application of the Internet of Things in the family, it promotes a healthy and comfortable, fast and convenient, low-carbon and energy-saving lifestyle. Intelligent Home Network is an important part of the smart home, and it connects a variety of appliances and devices, which depends on the existing computer network technology, it offers a rich variety diversified and personalized, convenient, comfortable, safe and efficient service for people through the network. As a core of the smart home system, Smart Home Gateway is intended to achieve information exchange between internal and external home information, which is undoubtedly in purpose of home networking.This paper focuses on how to implement the smart home gateway based on the embedded system and the key technologies used to do analysis and research. This paper introduces the background and significance of research and development of intelligent home and development Status in domestic and foreign country. Then it analyzes the overall design of the gateway, and determines the design based on a needs'analysis by comparing various technical solutions and then gives the overall framework of the gateway, and makes an analysis in detail of of Zigbee technology used subnet for home. Then the hardware and software design for the gateway are described on the basis of the overall design, the main gateway hardware is core for S3C2440A equipped with the necessary peripheral function circuit modules, the Zigbee coordinator is regarded the core of the secondary gateway based microcontroller CC2530F256 equipped with various peripheral modules, and the main gateway communicate with the secondary gateway through UART serial port. Software design including building embedded environment, Zigbee subnets, home gateway and the Web applications were given to achieve packet conversion between TCP/IP protocol application layer and Zigbee protocol application layer. Finally, make an application test respectively from the Zigbee subnet and remote Web interactive aspects of home gateway, the test results show that the home gateway make a basic realization of accessing to the information on the family environment with a good feasibility.
