Smart home system is the development direction of intelligent society in the future. The devices of Smart home system are varied in the market. The communicational protocols are numerous and incompatible. This paper designed a universal gateway to incorporate various subsystems in one network and to convert different kinds of communication protocols’ data into TCP format for communicating with upper control software conveniently.The contents of this paper are as follows:1. This paper had Used Zigbee, Bluetooth4.0, Wi Fi, Embedded System and TCP/IP technology and to design a multi-protocol heterogeneous in intelligent household environment intelligent control system. In this paper each subsystem was set in a unified format which could exchange data between the system of each subsystem in gateway.2. This paper also designed a gateway which could exchange data between each subsystem and the upper software currently. Writing the exchanging program and the required driver programs of gateway,which could transmit data between the subsystems and the remote servers in TCP/IP protocol.3. Making gateway hardware circuit and debuging through the gateway embedded application.After testing, users can easily control each section of the nodes in heterogeneou, which meeting requirements about the clients’ controlling wireless network efficiently and flexiblely. The experimental results show that the system running effect is good, easy to use, low maintenance difficulty is suitable for application in the field of smart home.
