A large number of earthquake damage investigation shows that the existence of the infilled wall has changed the seismic performance of the frame. Based on the summary of the previous seismic damage investigation,5 typical seismic damage of infilled wall-reinforced concrete(RC) frame structure are summed up in this thesis and its causes. In response to call of the national new wall materials reform, a new type of wall infilled with concrete horizontal hole hollow block and its main advantages and preliminary researching achievements are introduced in this thesis.In this thesis,3 one-story-one-bay reinforced concrete(RC) frames were tested to mainly investigate the effects of the wall infilled with horizontal-hole hollow blocks on the seismic behavior of RC frames under low reversed cyclic loading. Comparative analyzing failure characteristics, hysteresis loops, skeleton curves, stiffness degradation curves, cumulative energy curves, the results respect that RC frames infilled with the horizontal-hole hollow blocks meet the principle of "strong frames and weak infilled wall", the ultimate failure modes are similar to the RC frame without infilled walls'; the wall infilled with horizontal-hole hollow blocks enhance the bearing capacity and stiffness of the infilled frames; the walls take part in the hysteresis energy dissipation of frames and have a good performance in the earthquake.This thesis briefly introduces the five failure mode of infilled wall, four stage of collaborative work of infilled wall and frame. Many types of macroscopic model and microscopic model of infilled wall-RC frame structure and the calculation formulas of equivalent strut width are introduced in detail in this paper. The equivalent strut model is suggested to simplify the frame structure infilled with concrete horizontal hole hollow block and the calculation formula of equivalent diagonal strut width is given in this thesis.
