The development of 3D printing manufacturing technology is of rapid growth in the field of RP manufacturing, and FDM printer gradually gets promotion in domestic on account of its low cost and high accuracy. However, the molding quality of FDM molding technology has became the bottleneck which restricts its development. This paper focuses on the effects of some main factors in FDM molding technology on the forming precision and the supporting algorithm. In order to improve the quality of FDM molding, It needs to make some relevant theoretical researches and put forward a support generation strategy, hoping that it can be a valuable reference to the project.Molding quality is an important index to determine whether the machine is good or bad, so it is of great necessity to study the molding quality of FDM molding machine. The main research is as follows:(1) Summarize the impact of various factors in the molding process on the molding quality, and put forward some corresponding countermeasures.(2) Analyze several important technological parameters in the forming process, design the experimental verification, analyze conclusion and propose some advices on how to adjust the process parameters to improve the molding quality in the second section.(3) Conclude the strategies that support the generation, and carry out experiments to verify the effects of various types of supporting structures on the surface of the molding parts.(4) Raised an algorithm that can guarantee the quality of the support surface and verify the superiority of the new support algorithm through experiments.Through analyzing the factors which affects the forming quality of the FDM system, ways are proposed to change molding technology and new support generation strategies in accordance with the actual situation. As a consequence, a series of experiments show that these methods have good effects on forming quality, thus to promote processing speed and save materials.
