Mound breakwater is a common structural type of breakwater.As to the mound breakwater requiring for seismic fortification,there exists a series of problems about the calculation of the stability of mound breakwater worthing exploring.The author,launched a series of research based on the main breakwater extension project of Ashdod port for breakwater slope stability,using the finite element software PLAXIS to compare with the results of conventional software Geo-slope research generalized the PLAXIS engineering application.Furthermore,from the view point of engineering design,this paper expounded the design and calculation of the mound breakwater,at the same time we carried the further depth research on the influence factors of the stability of mound breakwater.In this paper,we systematically settled the related information of the slope seismic fortification research from domestic and overseas,searched and illustrated the research methods of slope stability.The prominent problems in view of the stability calculation of the mound breakwater were studied.mound breakwater is generally the instability of the pier head,integral sliding,toe place apophysis thereby.This paper argues soil strength,the scale of mound breakwater and natural conditions have great influence on the stability of sloping breakwater,and the design of sloping breakwater in the high seismic zone are required attention to the different ground treatment effect.Through this study,it provide a reference and basis for the engineering design of sloping breakwater.
