Tianjin Port South Breakwater Project Construction

With the economic and social development, the harbor increasing demand forland, with the deep-water port to the development of a breakwater in which the waterdepth increases, built on the open coast, bay or island port, usually from thebreakwater to form a cover waters. Breakwater main function is to ride the waves ofthe sea defense of the invasion, to ensure a smooth waters of the port, easy to moorthe ship docked, smooth loading and unloading of goods and passengers up and down.To block wave impact, retaining basin, to maintain a smooth surface to protect theport from the bad weather the impact of berthing and operation for safety of the shipbuilt to the water structures.This paper reviewed and summarized the historical development of thebreakwater and research based on the current situation, combined with engineeringpractice, by theoretical analysis and program comparison, the Tianjin Port SouthBreakwater Construction conducted in-depth study.Through the analysis of structuraldesign, draw embankment sections in Sham Shui Po Box tube-type low-costinfrastructure program, shallow embankment sections of large bags filled with heartembankment slope embankment structure, low cost programs, in the middleembankment sections than the semi-circular structure of the program cost low. Boxtube-type infrastructure program is a new type of breakwater structure, which fromthe design theory and computational methods to the traditional construction methodsare essentially different from the breakwater structure.Novel semi-circular structure of the program structure, and reasonable force,anti-wave performance, acting on the semicircular embankment of the wave force issmall, can maintain its stability after placement; and simple structure, process less;Convenient for construction, the construction speed; small amount of sand and gravelmaterials, in the Tianjin Port area has a more mature construction experience.
