Research On The Surface-Layer Of Residential District Commercial Streets Based On The Semantic Differential Method

With the innovation of the economy system and the increase of the urbanization, the mode of "residential area" can't fit for the living environment that the residents want, and it causes much negative impact to the city. Its oversize covers interrupt the road of the city, the closed boundary makes the atmosphere of the streets deserted, the overmuch public facilities make the utilization of the public facilities in low-efficiency, and the scene of different cities is similar under the influence of the single construction mode. In constrast, the mode of "residential district" plays an important role in the community and the city. As an important part of the residential distict space, the rensidential district commercial street must be studied extensively, digged out the structural space level, in order to establish the residential districe space fit for the modern lifestyle.In this article, the public area between building and street is defined as surface-layer, which differs from the previous research about architectural surface, the outer space of street, boundary of street, and so on.From the point of view of "the surface-layer of the street", the research about residential district commercial streets has changed the street space from single function into multiple functions, and establishes dynamic street space. The surface space established creates the street that can meet the spiritual and psychological.After the research about the element of the surface-layer, the effects affect the surface-layer are pointed out, which include environmental factors, social factors and business model factors. Through the establishment of the surface-layer artistic language, the surface-layer material surface and the functional language, the deep content of the surface-layer is dug out. Using the quantitative analysis of the factors above by Semantic Differential, the author finds out the object indicators that related to the feeling of the space.Finally, on the basis of the research above, the author puts forward the design principles of the surface-layer, which includes people-oriented design principle and the design principle that enhance the activity of the residential district commercial streets. In short, the article is aimed to improve the attractive and the atmosphere of the street space, and regains the value of the residential district commercial streets.
