For a long time, nitrogen oxides produce serious pollution to our environment, long-term exposure to pollutants, caused great damage not only to the environment, but also to the people's health. In order to realize the concept of environmental protection in production, the coal-fired power plant flue gas emission standards made some strictly restrictions and regulations by the State Environmental Protection Administration, this makes higher and higher demands to the flue gas denitration to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions in the process of electric power production.This paper took Shanxi Zhangshan Electric Power co., Ltd. first period of 2 x 300 MW unit of denitration project as the research object to research the application of denitration renovation project in coal-fired power plants. Based on the project conditions of Zhangshan Electric Power, and analyzing the basic principle of the SCR flue gas denitration technology, the selection of denitration plan and the selection and design mating facilities are conducted. After reconstruction of burner, heating surface at the low nitrogen and SCR system installation project in the 2 x 300 MW units boilers in Zhangshan Electric Power and low nitrogen burner, and cold air dynamic field test under the condition of normal are carried out, the denitration efficiency make improved than before. After modifying of boiler heating surface, the SCR reactor installation space is greatly expanded, at the same time, hot air temperature and exhaust temperature has a larger decline, and it makes the denitration efficiency up to 90%.This selection and application method in power plant boiler denitration project, not only provided a reference for other power plants to carry out the similar work experience, but also provided certain reference value for research of other scholars on this subject.
