NOx discharge is now serious imposed on in accordance with the flue-gas discharge standard of fossil power plant published by the state because of its detriment with No_x to the environment.The requirement of denitration to flue-gas is now higher and higher in China.Therefore,the applicatim of the denitration technology should be strongly extended.This article describes the introduction of application and basic principles of flue gas denitrifi cation technology in coal-fired power plant,its effectiveness,experience of design and operation,and development have been discussed. This article also describes the adoption of low NOx burners, rear heating surface modification and installation of SCR system of all the five220t/h boilers in Guangzhou Power Plant. With the low NOx burners, the denitrification efficiency reaches52.2%after static aerodynamic field test conducted and the optimization of furnace exit oxygen volume, the amount of main air, secondary air, auxiliary air volume.The article also analyzes problems like over-temperature brought by the innovation and solutions given. After rear heating surface of the boiler modified to give room for the SCR reactor, the temperature of hot air and flu gas dropped, the cause is that there is too much heating surface in high-temperature economizer.Through reducing the heating surface by5%, the operating parameters should be meeting the designing level. After installation of SCR systems, SCR DeNOx efficiency is merely37%, less than the designing value.The cause is the short-capacity of the high temperature diluting fan, therefore solutions provided. Through the studying of Guangzhou Power Plant’s Denitrification project,we can conclude that the way of mixing low NOx burners and single SCR reactor is successful, the denitration efficiency can reach70%, and the project is helpful for similar innovations of other plants. Then,the problems of the Guangzhou Power Plant existing in the process of application were analyzed,and solving measures were put forward.
