In the day of taking car instead of walking, with the growth rate of the ownership of private cars is higher and higher, the whole city’s traffic condition is getting more and more worrying. As a traditional mode of transportation, taxi has many disadvantages in energy consumption, empty run rate, expense, etc, which seriously restrict the development of the city’s traffic. So how to lead passengers to choose taxi ride-sharing can not only reduce transportation cost for the passengers and increase the additional revenue for drivers, but also reduce energy consumption and environmental pollution so as to improve the city’s traffic congestion problems to match with the government’s traffic ideas of sustainable development. The taxi ride-sharing pattern in our country is not yet universal and belongs to the trial stage. The model and fees of taxi-sharing has not rigorous basis which get taxi ride-sharing into mess. So, whether it is from the perspective of the practitioner or managers, the promotion of effective taxi ride-sharing mode could achieve the rational allocation of social resources and enhance the development of urban traffic more stable and healthy.On the basis of the existing research about taxi ride-sharing, the paper establishes the path and the rate optimization model in consideration of the principle of fairness and the profits of drivers and passengers. Through minimizing the total ride-sharing fare of passengers, the total ride-sharing travelling time of passengers and the total fuel charge of taxies, the multi-objective route optimization model for taxi ride-sharing was established, and the corresponding NSGA-II algorithm was designed to solve the model. Finally, By comparing various parameters of riding and ride-sharing, under the premise of not increasing the taxi number, the paper analyze the part road net in Chengguan District, Lanzhou C ity.The study shows that taxi ride-sharing can reduce the driving distance of taxi, save the cost of fuel and reduce travelers’ cost so as to alleviate the urban traffic congestion problem in some degree. The case study results show that the optimization model and algorithm are feasible which provides decision-making basis for the implementation of the taxi ride-sharing.
