Research On Landscape Arts Of Traditional Lakes In Zhejiang

Lake,as the most important life resources and the environmental carrier,is not only related to human's survival and urban development,but also a significant elements of traditional gardens.Zhejiang Province enjoys rich water resources especially lake and river,and the people living here still like a living style of “eating fish and rice” which has been spread for a long time.The generation of the traditional lake landscape is based on natural geographical environment called ‘regions of rivers and lakes'.And with the influence of social economical and regional culture,lake landscape presents a unique artistic form.Systematic research on the landscape art of Zhejiang traditional lakes plays a very important role in the inheritance and development of traditional garden art.In this paper,the research was unfolded through methods of literature review,field research,case analysis as well as summarization and so on,and conclusions are as follows:(1)According to different characteristics of lake landscape development under the backgrounds of each era,the construction history of Zhejiang traditional lake landscape can be divided into five stages,in order to describe the generation background,construction history and landscape features.Lake landscape Originated in the pre Qin period,developed in the Qin and Han Dynasties,matured in Tang and Song Dynasties,reached a statement of prosperity in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and tended to stagnate during the period of the Republic of China.During the whole process of evolution,the traditional lakes in Zhejiang have formed a unique landscape morphology by keeping on following geographical environment as the natural landscape framework,making social economy as the constructional premise and taking human thought as the inherence.(2)This paper,after studying the historical development,analyzes and summarizes the influential factors of Zhejiang traditional lake landscape from five aspects----physical geography,political economy,literature and painting,production lifestyle,philosophical concept,explored the relationship among the Lake landscape construction,regional nature and humanity environment.(3)By comparing the historical distribution of the traditional lakes in Zhejiang and the remains situation,this paper analyzes the typical lake landscape with two categories of urban scenery lakes and rural scenery lakes,and then summarizes the landscaping movement and landscaping characteristics.From four aspects---the conception of location,general arrangement,island and bridge,building and trees,it concludes traditional Lake landscaping style in Zhejiang,provides suggestions for the existing problems of contemporary urban lake landscape,and then with examples to explore the inspiration of the traditional lake landscaping art in the modern landscape design.This paper studys the predecessors' research about traditional garden water designing art and agricultural conservancy and landscape construction of Zhejiang area and more related reference articles,combining the historical documents and field investigation,makes a summarization of Zhejiang traditional Lake historical development and landscaping art.I hope this research can provide historical basis and practical guidance for the regional culture expression of the building of Zhejiang public gardens and living environment creation in the future.
