Wireless power transmission technology can effectively solve some potential problems existing in the conventional transmission method, for example, different interface standards, frequent occurrence of short and open circuit, and hardness of maintaining. It provides a brand new scheme for power transmission and battery charging in several fields such as mobile electronics, electric vehicles, biomedicine, aerospace, underwater and mine and so on.The paper first introduced three basic transmission methodologies, and then specifically analyzed the transmission method based on magnetic coupling resonance, and finally proposed a PWM rectifier-based magnetic coupling resonant power wireless transmission scheme. In the scheme, the power transmitter was resonant by appropriate L and C components, and its receiver adopted PWM rectifier which could work under unit power factor condition and output a certain voltage at the load port using the PI dual closed-loop including current inner loop and voltage outer loop control. The paper made the theoretical analysis, functions deriving, stability analysis and simulating by software Matlab/Simulink.Meanwhile,the corresponding hardware and software system were designed, and the experiment platform based on STM32F103ZET6 was built. Two power wireless transfer experiments were operated in which one experiment was resonant while the other was not.The results of simulation and experiments verified the feasibility and validity of the scheme of the PWM rectifier-based magnetic coupling resonant power wireless transmission system.
