Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters consist of capacitors and switches.It is a new AC-AC static power converter,which can achieve a variety of voltage ratio.It has no magnetic element only use the capacitors as the energy storage element,so it is a typical non-inductive converter.It has the advantages such as high power density,small size,high efficiency,light weight,etc.With the miniaturization of switching power supply,switched capacitor converters are used more widely in power electronic circuits and have very broad application prospects,no matter in DC-DC field or AC-AC field.The study on the topology of Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters is the hotspot of the study of Switched-Capacitor converter.The paper from vertical type and lateral type the two different research perspective,has a deep research on the new topology of Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters.Vertical type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters has a vertical extension on the structure of 1-2 type basic unit circuit which can realize the ratio of 1/2 and 2.This paper which sets 2-3 type and 3-4 type vertical type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters as the example,has a detailed analysis on the circuit structure,fundamental and working process of the vertical type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters.Finally the study is generalized to the N-(N+1)type vertical type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters,which can realize the ratio of 1/N to(N+1)/N and 1/(N+1)to N/(N+1).Lateral type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters are cascaded by vertical type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters with different ratioes.It can realize the voltage value buck stage by stage to achieve the Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters with arbitrary ratio.This paper which sets realization ratio of 1/2n type lateral type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters as the example,has a detailed analysis on the circuit structure,fundamental and working process of the lateral type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters.At last simulation and experimental verification are conducted on the realization ratio of 1/8 type lateral type Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters to verify the correctness of the topology.Finally this paper sum up the results of the research at this stage,and have a further outlook of the study of Switched-Capacitor AC-AC converters.
