High step-up boost converters are widely used in industrial fields,such as distributed new energy power generation systems,uninterruptible power supply,new energy electric vehicles,and xenon high intensity discharge.Utilizing multi-stage,coupled inductor,voltage-boosting cells(such as active switched-inductor unit,switched-capacitor unit)technologies and cascading,hybrid connection,interleaving parallel connection to achieve high step-up conversion.In particular,the converters,based on the switched-capacitor technology,have been the research hotspot for scholars at home and abroad due to their advantages of high step-up voltage gain,high efficiency and good scalability,etc.However,the spike current in the switched-capacitor loop limits its practical application.Therefore,this paper adopts the method of embedding the voltage source-switched-inductor unit into the switched-capacitor loop,and proposes a method for constructing high step-up boost converters,based on the voltage source-switched-inductor/switched-capacitor.The constructed new boost converters can improve the step-up voltage gain while suppressing the spike current effectively.Furthermore,this paper applies the proposed method to the voltage multiplier boost converter and the switched capacitor regenerative boost converter to obtain a series of improved high step-up boost converters.The main work done in this paper are as follows1.The boosting principles of several conventional switched-capacitor boost converters and hybrid switched-capacitor boost converters are summarized.Regarding with the spike current in the switched-capacitor boost converter,the reason,influence and existing suppression methods are briefly described.2.A voltage source-switched-inductor unit is proposed.By analyzing the branch state,loop operating mode,and converter operating mode after embedding the unit,the principle of suppressing the spike current and increasing the step-up voltage gain with the voltage source-switched-inductor unit is explained.3.A method for constructing high step-up boost converters is proposed,based on the voltage source-switched-inductor unit and switched-capacitor technology.The proposed method is applied to the voltage multiplier boost converter and the switched capacitor regenerative boost converter.And a series of improved converters are obtained.Through the detailed performance comparison between different improved converters,the advantages of this proposed method and the voltage source-switched-inductor unit are presented.Finally,simulation verification and experimental prototypes are built.And the simulation and experimental results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis.By embedding the voltage source-switched-inductor unit into the switched-capacitor loop,this paper proposes a systematic method for constructing high step-up boost converters without spike current,which has reference significance for the construction of new high step-up boost topologies.
