In recent years, the landslide occurred frequently in our country, which has caused serious threat to people's property and life, but also seriously affected the economic construction of our country. With the rapid development of infrastructure construction, many deep concave slopes and high steep slopes appear in the fields of highway, railway, water conservancy and hydropower, energy, port and mine. The slope is composed of uneven soil, so the distribution of the stress in the slope is not uniform, the stress of the soil at the load, and the failure of the region, which is the ultimate cause of the failure of the slope, which is the whole process of the slope failure, which is the actual process. So the stability analysis can more accurately reflect the actual state of the slope. In this paper, the process and mechanism of soil slope failure is simulated, and the numerical calculation of soil slope and soil nailing is carried out by using common software ABAQUS. Based on the soil sample, the stress distribution and the evolution of the soil in the soil are considered, and the stress distribution and the progressive failure process of the soil are considered. The calculation of the strength reduction method, and the analysis of the stress and strain, also carried out the analysis of the safety factor. The initial nonuniformity is simulated by setting the defect nodes or elements of different material parameters, which can be strengthened or weakened.Firstly, the process and safety factor of the formation of the shear band are calculated, and the stress and strain relationship of the characteristic position is extracted and the mechanism of the formation and development of the shear band is obtained. Secondly, the use of random number generated program, called in the ABAQUS, so that the initial defect nodes are randomly distributed in the soil. When considering the random distribution of initial imperfections, the trigger and development process of the shear band is studied, and the number of different defects is calculated. The position of the shear band and the relative strength of the defects are obtained. In the end, the stress distribution and deformation characteristics of the slope are calculated and analyzed.
