In china,building window materials can be classified into plastic steel-based,aluminium alloy-based,wooden-based,glass steel-based.Although all kinds of the windows have their own advantages,less environmental protection and high energy consumption are their common shortcomings.In order to save energy and protect environment,new type window that can realize energy saving and environmental protection is increasingly important.The window that is made of wood plastic composite material can effectively solve these problems.As main raw materials of such windows are poor quality wood or the processing residue and waste plastic,it is considered that wood plastic-based window has better performances,including energy conservation,environmental protection and recycling,and has broad market both in academic and industrial prospects.Firstly,we referenced the cross section design principle of plastic window to design the wood plastic composite window cross section.Taking the Nanjing City’s climatic feature as the reference of the service environment,and combining the processing characteristics of WPC in extrusion process,the users’ requirements of the window in this area was obtained.Finally,such designed process consisted of four components(window frame,window sash,glazing bead,seal-capping)wood-plastic composite sliding sash.Secondly,three simulation verification methods,including assembly verification,window thermal transmittance performance and wind resistance performance verification,were used to certify whether the profile design can meet the requirements.It was shown by assembly verification that the window can meet the requirements of assembly.The combination of section and the steel liner was used to verify wind resistance performance.According to the calculation results,it was shown that the window can meet the design requirements and achieve level 2 wind resistance standard.In this article,the software simulation method was utilized to verify window thermal transmittance performance.The simulant results showed that the heat transfer coefficient was 2.07 W/m2-k,which meant that the window can meet the window insulation performance requirements in Nanjing.Two-step WPC extrusion molding processing method was used to manufacture the windows.The specific process includes premixing,pelleting,extrusion and cooling.The effect of extrusion temperature,pressure,rate and cooling was investigated in this study,and the optimal parameters were achieved.The processes of install wood plastic composite windows,including cutting,welding connection,assemble of hardware and glasses,were also introduced in this study.Finally,in order to have a better understanding on the properties of the window,the current plastic window profiles of physical testing standards was studied in this article.The window was verified from materials,profiles,as well as the entire window profiles.respectively.It was shown that the material and profile can meet the requirement.However,due to the assembly process and the selection of accessories and others causes,the window thermal transmittance performance and wind resistance performance compared cannot reach the design value.In future,it is necessary to make some improvements,such as profile section,formulation,manufacturing and assembly process,to make sure that the wood plastic composites sliding sash can completely meet the design and use requirements.
