Tank played a decisive role in Second World War as its characteristics of powerful shooting firepower, strong cross-country mobility and strong defense. Until today highly modern military, tank is still the main weapon of Army, Marine Corps and Air Force. Tank has unique combat stability and powerful sexually, its reliability and cost are stronger than other combat weapons, so today all countries attach great importance to research tank. With the continuous progress of science and technology, tank firing control system has improved continuously, more and more control method is applied to tank firing control.Tank mechanical system construction is complex, while having the character of strong coupling and nonlinear; two different control methods were designed in this paper to control the emission angle of the tank in high speed motion, and then the advantages and disadvantages of each method were also compared through simulation.Firstly, according to the physical and mechanical structure of tank, virtual prototype tank is established in Adams, a multi-body system simulation software; and Adams road surface file is created according to the theory of road roughness. Then, Adams/Control plugin with the method of control system importing is used to make tank mechanical systems associated with the control system.Classic PID control is selected as the first control method. The PID controller is designed for the input and output variables of the established virtual prototype tank, and C code of controller module, which is imported into Adams to associate with virtual prototype tank is generated by MATLAB/Simulink RTW toolbox, then simulate at different speed with tank.Then MTN(Multi-dimensional Taylor Network) optimal control which is newly proposed is selected as the second control method. This thesis introduces the theory and application of MTN optimal control; then introduces designing method and optimization process of MTN optimal control; finally the MTN controller for the angle of site and direction of the tank in motion is designed based on PID control,and corresponding code of the MTN controller is generated, which is imported into Adams to simulate.Analysis the vibration characteristics of the tank gun barrel and turret at the same vehicle speed and road surface level, and the control effect of two control methods was compared. The result shows that the adjustment time of PID control is longer than MTN control, the vibration in the vicinity of the target angle of PID control is greater than MTN controller, and the overshot of PID control is lager than MTN control when they are used to control the angle of site and direction of the tank in motion under the same conditions. Therefore, MTN controller for the emission angle of the tank in high speed motion has certain advantages in terms of dynamic performance and anti-jamming capability.Finally what had done was concluded, in the meantime the outlook for follow-up work was proposed.
