Construction industry has always been treated as a high risk industry which is just second only to coal-mining, safety accidents occurr frequently in construction site, and that has a significant influence on the social economy, people's life and natural environment. In all construction links, works at heights is the most common, dangerous and prone to safety accidents such as fall and object strike. Data shows that safety accidents occurr in works at heights account for 80.6% of total accidents, and casualties account for 82.1%. In order to alleviate the serious safety production situation in construction engineering of our country, it is significant to take effective measures to control the safety risks in works at heights.In the field of construction engineering, traditional safety management mode and method is still widely used in construction sites, normally, safety managers check the safety situation through safety checklist. Traditional safety management mode and method has not adapts to the demand of construction engineering, it is urgent for safety managers to apply information technology in their management work to achieve the automation and intellectualization. Based on information technology such as BIM and RFID, this paper is intended to build the safety management system in works at heights of construction engineering. The system not only can realize the whole process management of safety risk, but also can realize automotive and intelligent management.Firstly, this paper collects safety accidents cases in works at heights of construction engineering in recent years, and analysis the accident rules from four aspects which including the type, site, occupation and work of accidents. Then do the research on the current situation, with the purpose of reveal the existing problems in our country.Secondly, this paper builds the framework of safety management system in works at heights of construction engineering, and detailed describes the system architecture and work mechanism, then introduces the key technologies such as BIM model and BIM secondary development and demonstrates its specific applications through cases, with the purpose of demonstrate the possibility of achieving the system development.Thirdly, the building method of the real-time information collection subsystem is researched. Taking scaffolding collapse accidents for example, this paper analysis the cause factors of them, and finds the precursors of accidents through PaICFs model. Then analysis the information demands of accident precursors, and summary the results. Since then, introduces the technologies which including RFID, sensor and ZigBee, with the purpose of demonstrate the possibility of achieving real-time collection of the safety information from construction sites.Lastly, the building method of the safety risk early-warning subsystem is discussed. This paper detailed describes the theory and process of safety early-warning, and presents the complete process of support vector machine (SVM) for real-time warning of hazardous area through a case. Then, analysis and describes the process of personnel real-time safety early-warning.
