EPS concrete block is a kind of new building wall materials for instead of solid clay brick.It is meet the new code " uniform technical code for wall materials used in buildings "(GB50574-2010) discount ratio and other requirements. Through examine the block's strength grade reached MU5 ~ MU20, apparent density in the 1200 kg/m~3-1750 kg/m~3, coefficient of thermal conductivity in 0.06W/(mK) ~ 0.202 W/(mK).Therefore, it is a kind of ideal light energy-saving wall materials. To make the product is applied widely, this paper mainly studies the basic mechanics performance(compressive performance) and the use of performance(thermal performance) of the EPS block masonry.The main work is as follows:(1) After analysed the compression test specimens of 8 groups total 24 EPS concrete block masonry standard test specimens carefully, we designed 6 EPS concrete block walls and carried out these walls compressive performance test study. Through the test study,we observed the stress process,deformation characteristic,failure mode,cracking load,cracking load of these walls under the Axis and eccentric loads. Through the experiment, the influence of eccentricity, ratio of height to thickness and the strength of mortar on the bearing and deformation capacity of these walls has been cleared. At the same time,Compression bearing capacity calculation formula is determined.(2) We have designed 240 mm and 180 mm thick of EPS concrete block bearing wall and since the load bearing wall to carry out the thermal performance test, on the basis of considering these factors, such as the thermal conductivity of the wall materials,wall thickness and EPS content. By changing the wall thickness, composition of wall materials thermal parameters ect, We studied the change rule of the wall of the heat transfer coefficient and inferenced EPS concrete block wall heat preservation and heat insulation performance. At the same time, in order to deduce and reason the formula of the wall heat transfer coefficient we used the two possible calculation model to simulate the walls. We compared the results with the hot box method experimental results and ANSYS finite element simulation analysis results. We get the influence of block type, wall thickness, type of material(thermal conductivity) on the wall heat transfer coefficient and the thermal performance. We also puts forward the EPS concrete block reasonable calculation method of thermal performance parameters of the heat transfer coefficient.Finally, the direction of further work is discussed briefly.
