Aircraft maintenance is the lowest class in airline industry. For the modernized civil aviation, the maintenance department does not match its career orientation in information level. Most maintenance personnel can not directly enjoy convenience bringing by informatization. Improving the maintenance efficiency mainly relys on engineers' technical and scientific management. Under such a background, by the idea of profession PDA, mobile terminal is introduced into the maintenance information network, integrating maintenance department and other departments. Like using mobile phone to connect to the internet,maintenance personnel use hand-hold terminal to access the information from a database by wireless.Aiming at this problem of hand-hold terminal application and wireless network structure,the research work of the paper mainly include the several aspects below:A hand-hold terminal was designed according to demanding for maintenance based on ARM9, then analyzed the system hardware interface, transplanted of U-Boot2008, Linux 2.6 kernel and driver programs in hardware environment, after successful commissioning, Qt was transplanted to design software; by reseaching the Wireless Network structure, designed the network topology at maintenance site, so the hand-held terminal can be access the network; analyzed service coverage of the AP in WLAN, figured out the number of APs in stable base areas in Z factor algorithm, math analys is demonstated the AP's number can meet the requirements for users to connect into a network;at last,reseached the problem of fast handoff, analyed mainly the the hot scanning processing, in order to reduce the scanning delay and meet the needs of real-time,a scanning trigger mechanism based on dynamic domain values was used to optimize scanning processing. Experiment justified the new suanf algorithm effectively avoid cache updates when the associated AP's signal is good, reduced the scanning delay indirect by contrast. The new algorithm's superioritythe was confirmed in experiment which had a reference value for practical application.
