The improvement team use quality tools to analysis the effective factors in critical process, and found the root cause of the high repair rate was Sensor chip resistor.Thus, the main focus of this article is to analysis the cause and solves the resistor failure of sensor chip.Brainstorming and fishbone diagram was used during the preliminary analysis on sensor chip resistor failure.Matrix Data Analysis Chart & FMEA was applied in the phas e of cause confirming.And during the problem solving process we use the theory of GR&R and process statistical method to guide the analysis. Minitab software was used for data calculating, this is to save time and avoid human error.Through the quality improvement research on resistor failure of gas meter sensor chip, it provides reference for gas meter industry on quality improvement & other related quality issue.
