As the fault-multiple group in transport aircraft, the aging aircraft has initiated many accidents in civil aviation security. The question about how to evaluate and manage the health of aging aircraft scientifically and effectively has been paid a lot of attention. In order to enhance the security and decrease the cost of maintenance of aging aircraft in civil aviation transportation, the health management methods of aging aircraft have been deeply studied which are based on the historical data and combined with the common damage type in aging aircraft, aiming at improving the security in airworthiness and the economic efficiency in maintenance.Firstly, the health management methods based on data driving have been deeply studied, including those which are based on time series, gray theory, hidden markov model(HMM) and analytic hierarchy process(AHP) model and so on. The characters and applicable scopes of each of the methods mentioned above have been discussed as well.Secondly, the health management index system of the aging aircraft has been constructed and the comprehensive assessment model of health margin has been established. 5 health indicators of grade ? and 21 health indicators of grade ? have been selected preliminarily. After these indicators have been analyzed by SPSS software in the method of correlate and principal component analysis, the health management index system of the aging aircraft including 15 indicators has been constructed. The judgment matrix has been constructed and the weight has been determined based on the AHP and 1-9 quantitative scaling method. At the same time, the conceptions of factor membership and health margin have been introduced. And combined with historical records of aging aircraft maintenance, the health margin equation has been constructed. Then the health management evaluation model of aging aircraft has been further established.Finally, the software of health comprehensive evaluation of aging aircraft has been designed and developed which has provided a support tool for the informatization of aging aircraft health evaluation. Moreover, take an aging aircraft fleet of a certain airline as an example, the software has been applied in the health management evaluation of aging aircraft fleet in this airline. The evaluation result shows where the current fleet condition of aging aircraft is and the result is in consistent with the actual situation, which has verified the realization of the function of health evaluation model in the software.
