Applying Multivariate control charts to monitor aircraft engine can solve the problem that the previous one-parameter monitoring detects so many parameters that the indicates will be distorted and the change trends of the parameters can not be detected.Firstly,we give a review of the development of the traditional multivariate control charts,non-parametric multivariate control charts and the method of aircraft engine monitoring, and we introduce the method of T square control chart and the rank chart in detail.Secondly, we apply the T square control chart and the rank chart simultaneously to monitor low-pressure rotor vibration value(VB1) and high-pressure rotor vibration value(VB2) for their Real-time monitoring and change trends monitoring.Thirdly,we use the T square control chart to monitor the key parameters of aircraft engine,so that we can test the ability of the T square control chart in monitoring change of relation of the multivariate engine parameters. In the last, the result shows that in the engine parameter Real-time monitoring, the rank chart can accurately catch the points which are over the control limit, and it performs much better than the T square chart. So the rank chart can both reduce the monitored parameters, enhance the efficiency of engine monitoring and do not affect the monitoring result.and the T square chart performs better in the trend monitoring. |
