In recent years, more and more people pay attention to air quality and climate change. While air transport industry makes contributions to global economy, the impact of air transport on the environment cannot be overlooked, especially the negative impact of aircraft engine emissions. There are two phases of flight. One is landing and takeoff(LTO phase) and the cruise phase. In LTO phase, the aircraft engine will emit nitrogen oxides, particulate matter and volatile organic compounds, resulting in the airport and the surrounding areas of environmental pollution, affecting the health of nearby residents and even lives. In cruise phase, the aircraft engine emissions carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides and other greenhouse gases, causing global climate change, global temperature balance, flora and fauna and human survival. From the perspective of economics, these aircraft engine emissions of pollutants are external costs, it brought negative effects to society and the community without compensation. Thus, a measure of economic external costs of aircraft engine emissions is necessary. It uses different measures the external costs in two flight phases of aircraft engine emissions. In LTO phase, it uses the human capital approach and willingness to pay to measure external costs. Both methods focus on human health near the airport and its surrounding region. In the cruise phase, it uses carbon pricing method. In this method, it focuses on external factors, fluctuation features and pricing. From the perspective of the measure aircraft emissions of carbon dioxide prices, it also measures the price of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides prices. In the end of it, it measures the airline aircraft engine emissions economy external costs from Sanya to Beijing.
