In recent years, the rapid development of national economy has brought new opportunities for the aviation industry. The demand for pilots is increasing because civil aviation and general aviation began to expand their fleets, which is both an opportunity and a challenge as pilot training schools.Aviation training schools need to meet pilots' demands through improving training efficiency, increasing training assignments and other ways. However, compared with sound and mature foreign training schools, construction of China's aviation training school is relatively late so the facilities and theoretical research has not yet formed a complete system. In addition, training methods in our country have much higher costs than abroad, which makes our training schools and institutions at a disadvantage in the market competition. How to reduce training costs becomes one of the contents that aviation training schools focus. At present, there are few studies to analysis of life cycle cost of general training airplanes, so general training planes economy can't be accurately assessed. On the basis of this situation, combined with the actual pilots training situation, the life cycle cost of training planes is studied based on the flight training outlines. The training outline provides training courses and contents of different pilot's license. And every general train plane's characteristics under the training courses can be analyzed based on the training contents. The main costs of general training planes include the purchase costs, fuel costs, maintenance costs, flight instructor wages, aircraft landing costs and so on, which are affected by the training outline. Those costs are analyzed and calculated in detail base on training outline. Because time of the costs in the life cycle is different, investors need to assess the economics during the first investment stage, so the time value needs to be considered. In the end, the benefits and costs of general training planes life cycle are analyzed and break-even analysis is made through case studies to calculate the break-even point of general training planes.By analyzing economics of general training planes under the training outline, references for airplane selection, lower training costs and other aspects are provided.
