| Green residential community is a midrange concept compare with green building and eco-city. The thirteenth Five-Year Plan of China also considered the green concept within the development menthod of the next term of urbanization in China. The concept of green residential community in China was not that advance as other developed countries around the world. The promotion of ideals of green were still in the infancy stage from the Government level to the citzen. “Green Residential Community Standards”(CECS 377:2014) which enacted in 2014, being gradually put into use the is the first step in the research field of Green residential community in China. I think is not conducive for the promotion of Green Residential Community to just put this whole “Green Residential Community Stadards” in a position as a national industry standard. Therefore, developing a rating system for green residential community based on the “Green Residential Community Standards” will be an considerable step to take. From a macroscopic perspective it can be a good try on the eco-urbanization, on the orther hand it can strengthen general public's interest of the green concept while keep the concept in mind across the generations.This thesis has tring to illustrate the definition of green residential community.
