With the development of the wind turbine, more and more accidents also happened to its support structure. Hence the safety assessment of support structure has become a burning problem. At present, domestic and foreign security analysis of the support structure almostly only concentrate on a certain stage of design, construction or normal-use, few referred to its whole life safety analysis in the way of life-cycle. This thesis takes the masterstroke of life-cycle, converging on the whole-life safety issues of support structure. We analysis the design, construction and normal use stage by using theoretical and numerical simulation methods.(1)Design stage: main security factors including wind turbine siting, tower materials, door shape of tower and connection forms of tower and its foundation are analyzed in the practical security cases. Then we put emphasis on the comparison analysis of the wrapped ice effect in the northern cold weather. What is more,we would analysis the change of bearing capacity by using composite material on the of the tower by using ANSYS simulation.(2)Construction stage: the installation of the tower drum is the key issue in the construction process of the support structure. For practical engineering, crane overturning problem is severe when hoisting tower drum, especially in wind. The changes of sling height and wind load have a big influence on its stabilization.(3)Normal-use stage: the security problems in this stage are mainly caused by structural failure, of which the main form is fatigue failure. This paper analyzes the modal and static strength of the support structure through numerical simulation; fatigue analysis is also included by using FTCALC module, and the fatigue performance of the structure are obtained.
