Research And Implemention On Construction Safety Training System

The construction industry has always been a focus of society because of its contribution to GDP. However it's also an industry that many tragic accidents happens at times. To prevent accidents, safety training are often implemented, which seems not effective for construction workers. So it's urgent to improve training form to suit the low-educated workers and mobilize their initiative. According to the research of foreign practice, this essay found a new and effective tool called training system to train workers. The training system in this essay is developed upon situated learning theory, and made upon the platform of game engine together with several computer technology called BIM and 3D modeling.First of all, this essay introduced the structure of this system both in training situation designing and training strategy designing, and then introduced the 5 function modules.After that, this essay introduced the implemention of the 5 function modules with the example of electrical safety training. In the construction of virtual scene, this essay introduced a method to construct the scene quickly which employed both BIM and 3D modeling technology, and then introduced the method to attach material and texture to models, the method to assemble models and optimize the virtual scene. In the construction of learning situation, this essay designed and organized the training content, and achieved the convert from text-form knowledge to situation-form knowledge, then introduced the rest 3 modules' invoking mechanism which is achieved by the Flow Graph in Cryengine. In the construction of the rest 3 modules, this essay introduced their composition and their appearance which was realized in Flash. As the 5 function modules developed, this system's development ended.This system is based upon situated learning theory, which makes an immersive virtual learning environment and creates a meaningful mission situation. It's possible to lower the cognitive difficulty and activates workers' interests, which is a meaningful exploration for construction safety training.
