The hydraulic valve is one of the most important control components in hydraulic system, which is used to change the pressure, flow rate, or the direction of fluid. The solenoid valve is one of the popular valve in the family of direction valve. This valve can be controlled by the electrical signal from the control system. Once the coil is energized, the electromagnetic force will overcome the resistance force and push the spool to change its position, which would make the direction of fluid to be changed.This thesis is based on one case which is used in the control system of injection machine. The parameters of the current valve can't meet the customer's requirements, which need better response time and lower impact. So in the beginning of this thesis, the theory of computational fluid dynamics is introduced which is the base for the following analysis of the flow field, hydraulic force and so on. Then according to the analysis, some design defect and shortage are found. As we know, the response time is determined by the force of spool, such as the force of coil, hydraulic force, friction force, spring force. This paper shows the relation between the spool and the force, and then builds the differential equation of spool. With the simulation of software MATLAB/SIMULINK, this paper shows the curve of response times, the curve of flow rate. Based on these analysis, the update design is introduced into this paper. The test result is also following to prove the improvement reliable and effective. Furthermore, some design tips and theory can be found in this paper for further research.
