Parafoil is widely used in civil and military field because of its maneuverability. During the airdrop, real-time measurement of an parafoil belt tension is conducive to monitor the working condition of parafoil safe and to improve safety of the parafoil. In this paper, a parafoil belt tension sensor,based on ZigBee, is designed.The sensor uses the side pressure beam structure. At the same time, the wireless communication technology is used to transmit the data. The sensor has the characteristics of non-destructive, large measurement range, easy installation and low power consumption. It is suitable for the measurement of the rope tension of the wing.In this paper, the structure of the elastic body and the case is designed by Solidworks. According to the requirements, 40 CrNiMo is choosed to be the material of the elastic body. Then, the elastic body is divided into grid and the analysis of stress and strainis carried out by Ansys. The area where is the the most suitable area to paste strain gauge. In terms of hardware, the circuit of measurement and wireless communication is designed, which includes MCU module, wireless communication module, DC-DC voltage regulator module, battery power acquisition module, charge management module, measurement and amplifier module. In the circuit, CC2531 is the core chip, which has the function of radio frequency and control. In terms of software, the communication protocol is designed and the driver software is written. Communication protocol includes USB communication protocol and ZigBee wireless communication protocol. In the software, the realization of the strain chip voltage acquisition, lithium battery management, network state management, wireless transmission, USB function. In order to verify the stable operation of the equipment, the test scheme is designed, and the experimental results and data are analyzed.
