Due to the features of rapidity and high efficiency, general aviation emergency search and rescue has become globally adopted. Especially the critical rescue route planning technology gains wide attention from scholars at home and abroad. Nowadays, research of our country concentrates on the single aircraft route planning and tasks assignment, which ignores the autonomy and reality of the multi-aircraft rescue route planning. So, this paper aims to simulate the behavior of aircrafts in the search and rescue task to research the route planning problem.Firstly, through profiling China general aviation multi-aircraft search and rescue cooperative process, it builds the rescue aircraft model and rescuers' behavior decision-making model based on the decision field theory, and proposes the self-organization characteristic of search and rescue system and designs a distributed system architecture with central node. Based on it, five route planning objectives are created, the different preferences of which reflects the actual search and rescue mission requirements.Secondly, two search and rescue ways are proposed according to the distributed ant colony algorithm and regional block search algorithm. Then, the multi-aircraft cooperative search and rescue route planning method is designed for the two ways, which improves the operation mechanism of original ant colony algorithm and introduces a cooperative mode into the original block search algorithm. All of the improvements reduces the computational complexity, greatly increases the efficiency, enhance the applicability and avoid the premature partial convergence.Lastly, it establishes a multi-aircraft cooperative search and rescue route planning simulation system. Several tests are operated to compare with original algorithm and each other, the results of which validate the reliability of the proposed method and figure out the route planning strategy. And then, it plans a safe and efficient route based on the strategy to provide a theory support and technology reference for general aviation emergency search and rescue preparation work.
