| Civil structure engineering is different from the installation equipment engineering design, which often faces different countries in the overseas projects and the different requirements of owner, and it would be difficult in the process of communication and confirmation of engineering design and construction. Domestic engineering personnel are very necessary to learn foreign codes, to understand the differences and similarities between home and abroad standard. The specification supported by the U.S. government guidance, through the industry association, the study of the scientific research units, institutions of higher learning, enterprises,development, continuously updated to reflect the latest research topic in fields and results, is widely used and accepted international standard system, the domestic scientific research and engineering staff has the very good reference value for study.In this paper, some key content cared by Chinese designers in China and the United States codes are introduced and compared, combined with the actual project were analyzed, the main content includes:(1) Wind load design specification comparison of Chinese and the American, this paper compares the specifications of Chinese and the American wind load of the basic definition, parameter selection and design method.(2) Aseismatic design comparison of Chinese and American, compared the seismic fortification level, field analogy rules, construction form and structure system,earthquake response spectrum parameters and structural seismic analysis, seismic hierarchies and aseismatic joint setting and steel frame aseismic requirements, etc.(3) Steel structure design code comparison of Chinese and American, comparedthe calculation of axial compression in steel structure design, calculation of the bending, bending pressure composite calculation and slenderness ratio, etc.(4)According to the standard requirements, using the international general structure analysis and design program STAAD in full engineering design calculation comparison. Considering the steel structure design, strength of materials, calculation of load combinations test influence factors such as length, specification, commonly used in design of steel structure, beams, columns and bracing members comparative statistics are given respectively, also with the differences in the levels of steel structure design safety. |
