In recent years, the demand for air transport and the number of aircraft holdings of various airlines in China have been increasing. Propeller aircraft occupies an increasingly high ratio in our air transport industry, but the evaluation of noise on the propeller aircraft is still lacking. This paper introduces in the noise of propeller aircraft with two aspects which is the compliance analysis and the noise contour prediction. With these two aspects, the noise performance of the aircraft can be got directly. This paper also provides an important reference value for the new model designers or buyers, and fills the gap of the propeller aircraft noise evaluation.According to the relevant provisions of the ICAO annex 16 on the compliance analysis,the evaluation method of the compliance analysis for propeller aircraft is studied in this paper.According to the noise contour algorithm provided by ECAC, the flight path of the propeller aircraft calculation method is given based on ANP database. According to the NPD database,the noise level at different locations is calculated using of the power and distance interpolation method.Through the MATLAB software, users can meet the analysis, aircraft take-off flight path and noise contour prediction program, and can get the noise of aircraft easily and quickly with analysis results and noise contour prediction results, which are presented in a visual way. The software can analyze compliance and predict noise contours for any propeller aircraft in the database. The excellent noise performance of propeller aircraft can be found through the results of the software, which provide a reference standard for design and production of propeller aircraft in the future. In addition, the results of the software can provide technical support and reference for some derivative aircraft.
