FPS friction pendulum bearing is an effective isolation bearing, which is widely used in many tall buildings. The determination of reasonable FPS friction pendulum isolated position is the core work of anti lateral force and lateral control structure shift.FPS bearings are set up the basement or roof top of the foundation, which is a key factor in building inter-layer displacement effects. There are two main influencing factors of FPS friction pendulum isolation, including slide away radius r and slide away friction coefficient u.7 layer building structure as an example, a simplified model is established. By studying its state of motion in the earthquake and to analyze the structure of the interval setting FPS isolation system shock effects and comparative analysis of their isolation systems are set up in the basement ceiling and top of the foundation. It is established the discrete system of much degree of freedom motion equation by Longuet Curta(RungeKutta) method and the MATLAB calculation software platform, the structure can be solved under seismic action state of motion. By comparing the calculated seismic dynamic response in both cases, optimal selection can be obtained about structure set isolation system.Calculation and analysis of the results show that: FPS isolation effect is relatively obvious, the displacement between the structure of the layer, floor displacement, velocity and acceleration of floor greatly reduced; FPS friction pendulum in the basement and foundation isolation roof top comparative study face isolation, the base of the top surface of isolation effect is more prominent. Selecting the appropriate slide radius and the contact surface friction coefficient values, isolation effect will up to about 90%.
