KDP crystal is the only large-caliber high-power laser crystals used as a Pockels cell and frequency doubling device, it occupies an important position in inertial confinement fusion of new energy development. soft, easy deliquescence, high brittleness, anisotropy, easy to crack a series of difficult to machine features, making the processing of large diameter KDP crystals to become world-class problems, and our existing KDP crystal precision ultra-precision machine tools and processing technology level cannot meet the requirements of high-power laser systems. There are studies in the paper aiming KDP crystal with single point diamond fly cutting optimization of process parameters, and the emergence of unqualified IF waviness value for the process, to improve machine tools:(1) Firstly, The analysis of the experimental methods and principles of design optimization, and using quadratic regression rotational combination design methods are used to fully optimized small-caliber KDP crystal with single point diamond fly cutting process test system. Based on a single point diamond fly cutting principle, the KDP crystal is processed.The use of non-linear quadratic regression analysis, partial least squares regression method and theory, the DPS and SPSS software for processing and analyzing test data are to obtain a theoretical prediction model for surface roughness and waviness. Based on the principle of non-linear programming, the use of lingo software optimization guru is to optimize processing program for surface roughness and waviness with single objective and multi-objective. Finally, the best combination of processing parameters is used to process large-diameter KDP crystals.(2) Secondly, Low frequency ripple appears large aperture KDP crystal for the process does not comply with the subject indicators phenomenon, so there is a theoretical analysis of KDP crystal surface formed in the low-frequency ripple. Equations with gyro technology for air spindle theoretical modeling is used to qualitatively analyze the frequency and amplitude of the surface waviness characteristics and influencing factors, Then the main part of the vibration theory are drawn from the analysis modal analysis, obtaining its natural frequency of vibration.(3) Finally, The use of LMS testing equipment, frequency comparisons are analyzed in different conditions of precision ultra-precision machine vibration tests, and then the natural frequency of the theoretical analysis are compared. Finally analyzing and summarizing the main reason for the machine vibration and the vibration source are to provide a basis for optimizing the design of the machine.
