With the development of economy and living standard of, it has become a trend to build Grand Theatre. Due to the unique features of theatre and the complex technology, sight design is the necessary process besides of function design, shape design etc. Along with the richness of the form of performance, original auditorium can’t meet the need of modern theatre. There are some problems in sight design, for example the low efficiency, the fuzzy judge of the sight block, and the index cannot catch up with the development of the society.In the view if the above situations, this thesis first conclude the sight analysis method and development history at home and abroad. Analyze the key element of sight block in auditorium aiming at the sight design element, the graphic and profile of the auditorium, seat arrangement, evacuation time, under investigating several theatres being built.3D simulate the auditorium sight analysis. Sight analysis is playing a most important role at the earlier stage of auditorium design. The thesis induces the visual space, the sight block element and computing method using 2D and 3D simulate, considering the cyclorama. Then present an appropriate solution to analyze the sight block considering the viewpoint, visual space, proscenium arch, performance area, cyclorama, seat arrangement and so on.Sight block proportion, the judge standard of sight block. Judge the sight quality of an auditorium computing the sight block proportion, instead of experience value and fuzzy numbers.Computer assist design. It is necessary to simulate the sight quality at the earlier stage of the auditorium design. The thesis gives a optimization strategy aiming at the sight block problem of some actual project. Thus saving a lot of design time and improving the design efficiency.There are also other research contents in auditorium design, while this thesis focus on the sight design and makes a theoretical supplement. The conclusion can be used at the earlier stage of the auditorium design, providing a new way for the design.
