With the rapid development of social economy recent years, the demand of transportation vehicles increase quickly, which led to the roads are in serious traffic congestion and blockage in some cities. There is a very important practical significance on researching and simulating the intersection traffic flow.Cellular Automata(CA) is a discrete time, discrete space and discrete state model. With the advantages of simple algorithm, flexible and computational efficiency, CA becomes an important tool for the study of road traffic flow. This text introuduced the basic theory of rough set, and it's the chanlange to integrate the main points of rough set theory and traffic control. Rough set theory is used to process and analyze the data, and the new decision rules are obtained. The city traffic network model with the new decision rules is more close to the actual traffic phenomena.The main content of this dissertation is summarized as follows:1. At the beginning of this dissertation, some basic theoretical knowledge are introduced, including some of the classic cellular automaton traffic flow model and rough set theory.2. The dissertation analyzed the safe distance between vehicles and the lane change of multi-lane model, on this basis, the vehicle forward model, the lane change model and the red light control model are created by coupling the N-S and BML model, and then build basic model and analyzed the impact of factors such as random slow, lane change, slow startup and other factors on the road traffic flow that based on these cellular automata models.3. On the basis of the above content, optimized the basic model on the impact of factors based on Rough Set Theory, and then the rule of intersection signal lamp control based on rough set is established.4. Using object-oriented programming method and MATLAB, a simulation system based on the series of CA model is developed, which can simulate various traffic condition according to setting different operating parameters.
