As the fast development of urbanization in our country, the traffic demand also increases greatly, which leads to the yearly increase of vehicle population in the urban area.So we can often see the motor vehicles and the non-motor vehicles run on the same road.To address this problem, many cities have already set bicycle lanes with median strips.Due to the indispensable role it plays at the urban non-motorized traffic network,it is really significant to improve its level of road service. In order to reduce the pressure of urban parking, some motor-vehicle parking strips are even set on bicycle lanes, where motor vehicles' ongoing parking behaviors happen, and then the mixed traffic flow turns up.That has aggravated the traffic tangle and road accidents frequently happen, which directly results in the decreasing capacity of the urban traffic net. Therefore, this essay is to set up practical traffic flow models, and to do researches on the characteristics of non-motorized traffic flow under different situations,as well as putting forward some fundamental measures to alleviate traffic congestion with the application of relevant models. The main research contents are listed as follows.(1)First of all, this essay is to give a brief summary of the development process of cellular automaton and its basic factors. Then it introduces several classical models that cellular automaton applied to the traffic flow field. In addition,it gives further analysis on the three elements of traffic flow as well as their correlation.(2)With the application of relevant experimental equipment and data resources and the combination of on-site investigation, this essay gives thorough researches on the traffic characteristics of both the motor vehicles and the non-motor vehicles in mixed traffic from three respects: vehicles' physical property, riding behavior features, and drivers' characteristics.(3)The structure of non-motorized traffic flow in small-medium cities has changed significantly,as the increasing number of electric tricycles and electric bicycles.Under such circumstances, this essay is to build the cellular automation model of multilane mixed with non-motor vehicles on the basis of STNS Model, which considers vehicles' actual sizes, distinct driving characteristics, and the speed effect of vehicle in front.Afterwards,it gives a parent map in particular ratio of electric tricycles, particular deceleration probability and lane-changing probability after computer simulation. Finally,it proves the model can be used to describe and analyze the real traffic by the comparative analysis with real data.(4)To find out the influences of the motor vehicles' parking behavior on non-motor vehicle flow, this essay is to make a coupling of EBCA1 Model and SDNS Model, and finally build up multi-valued CA Model for mixed traffic flow. Moreover,by simulating motor vehicle's parking behavior on two different motor-vehicle parking strips,it analyses the influences on traffic flow caused by motor vehicle's parking behaviors in various conditions. It then compares the simulation data with real data and proves the model's feasibility. Also,by using that model,it eventually comes up with the standard values of traffic flow to decide whether the motor-vehicle parking strip could be set up on the bicycle lane.
