Electro-mechanical actuators(EMA) have been increasingly utilized in the aerospace industry. Because of its light weight, small size, high efficiency and reliability, EMA are being developed to be alternatives, replacing centralized hydraulic actuators that have traditionally used in aircrafts. A digital high-power servo EMA system is proposed in this thesis and validated by the experimental prototype.The frame design is carried out based on the fundamentals of the EMA servo system, The permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM), mechanical transmission mechanism and closed loop control system are then modelled to set up the intergrated mathematics model of EMA system. After that, BP neural network is applied to adjust the parameter of the PI controller of the speed loop in EMA system on the basis of intelligent control theory.A digital test rig is also developed based on IPM modules and TMS230F28335 DSP controller. Related algorithms are then programmed to realize customized functions. Finally, the principals of this EMA servo system have been validated through experiments.
