Part Matching plays a very important role in volume production and the production of high precision products. For batch production, how to improve product quality without increasing the processing precision, matching parts is the best choice. When the precision of product is high, by improving the processing precision of parts to achieve precision products raise almost impossible to do, but we can improve the precision of the products through reasonable matching method.In this paper, a certain type of valve parts are as the research object, the matching method of valve parts is studied, and Valve Parts Matching System is developed. The main research contents and results are as follows:(1) In order to get matching requirements of the matching valve parts, the problems of the matching of this valve are analyzed. The characteristics of the matching of this valve are analyzed, the critical gaps affecting the performance of this valve and their dimension chains are extracted.(2) In order to solve the problem of the valve parts matching, the matching method based on Pareto optimality and elitist multi-objective evolutionary algorithm is proposed. This method is based on general evolutionary algorithm, the Pareto optimal is introduced to evaluate multiple optimization goals, and elitist strategy, parent and offspring are involved in the competition and the principle of competition mechanism is that higher-ranking in hierarchical non-dominated sort and lower self-aggregation are better, is used. The mathematical model based on Taguchi quality model for the matching of valve parts is established. The matching algorithm is realized and good assembly scheme is got through the matching calculation.(3) In order to solve the problem of the matching including on-demand processing parts and the calculation of the optimal processing value, the matching method with processing costs for the matching goals is proposed, the method of using the processing cost as the matching goal is proposed. Processing costs of this method is measured with the radio of the reduced number of required machining tolerances and the total number of machining tolerances. The mathematical model of parts matching including on-demand processing parts based on processing costs is established. And the calculation of optimum processing value and the matching including on-demand processing parts is conducted. At last, good result is obtained.(4) The work of design and development of Valve Parts Matching System is finished. According to the research results of the company and the related research of matching technology, the program of the Valve Parts Matching System is proposed, and through the review of expert group; according to the program of the Valve Parts Matching System, the Valve Parts Matching System has been developed and used in the actual production assembly process of company.
